For those what was going on in a parking space in your town last Friday, the answer is simple: Friday was PARK(ing) Day! PARK(ing) Day is an annual, one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens independently but simultaneously temporarily transform metered parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public parks.
According to the PARK(ing) Day community map, there were PARK(ing) Day installations in five communities across Pennsylvania, including several organized by T4PA members. Check out the video above for a look at the Harrisburg PARK(ing) space organized by 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania.
